When I describe GPC to people, I say "family" because that's what we ARE! No matter what season you may be walking into, currently going through, or coming out of, we want to be there for you! We hope that the moment you walk through the doors, you feel loved, welcomed, and, most importantly, a part of a family.

At GPC, we teach the importance of living a surrendered, repentive, and holy life. I prioritize serving those around us and loving others as Christ loved us. Our vision here at Gathering Place Church is to "Bring Healing to a Broken World." That looks like loving people inside and outside the Church through generosity, compassion, and Christ-like love.

In 2016, Pastor Joyce Robinson transitioned the Church. I am incredibly grateful to build upon a firm foundation Pastor Joyce established over 30 years ago. I understand the importance of allowing our roots to grow deep.

Joyce Robinson is the Founding Pastor at Gathering Place Church, which she and her late husband established in 1984. Pastor Joyce began her ministry within her home as a prayer group. The meeting multiplied, and they relocated to a local hotel for more space. Shortly after that, Gathering Place Church was birthed.

In 1996 Pastor Joyce established Zion Christian Academy and The Joyce Robinson Foundation. Joyce transitioned the Lead Pastorship to her grandson, Garrett Cuzick, in 2016.

1984 | Gathering Place Church was established
1995 | Built new sanctuary
1996 | Zion Christian Academy was established and had its first graduating Kindergarten class
2016 | Pastor Joyce transitioned the lead pastorship to Pastor Garrett and Briana
2021 | Zion Christian Academy opened their new 9,600 sq ft facility
2023 | Founding Pastor Joyce Robinson went to be with Lord
